If you have a VERY slow leak in your Airmatic Mercedes, it can be very frustrating trying to find it. It could be in the valve block, one of the lines, or the Airmatic strut itself. If you can not hear it, small leaks in the strut can be the hardest to find. Kent found the best way to test is to pressurize the strut with a valve and gauge and see if the pressure drops. Watch the video below to see how it works.
Product Details
Only one is available. This is the actual unit Kent used in the video. A recently replaced rebuilt strut was leaking in this 2000 S500. Note the fitting on the end of the tester that has to go into the top of the strut. This is 8mm in diameter. You may be able to adapt this tester to a larger fitting, but you would be on your own. Comes with video instructions.
