61x Diesel Valve Adjustment Procedures Manual by Kent Bergsma

We are selling this manual separate from our custom valve wrenches to allow you the chance to see if this is a job you would like to do yourself. This is an important maintenance procedure that should be performed on the early diesel engines every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. Sad thing is you can not just trust any mechanic to do it properly. It is not difficult, but it takes patience and attention to detail to do it properly. When you do it yourself you will know it is done right.

Improperly set valve clearances can cause hard starting, loss of power, rough running and excess exhaust smoke. You will need special wrenches to adjust the valves.  It can not be done with standard wrenches - attempting it will cause loss of sanity and some pretty beat up knuckles.
