These seals getting totally neglected. I consider the bottom one the "forgotten" seal on these engines. They can be very frustrating to change out if you don't know the right sequence. Kent includes free video instructions on how to remove the airflow sensor housing and the lower intake elbow so these can be replaced. You will need to pay close attention to his tips to get it all back together correctly.

RECOMMENDATION: If you are replacing these seals you have to remove the mass airflow sensor. This will give you open access to replacing the engine breather hoses. Check those hoses. If they are hard and brittle you should replace them. To purchase see related products below.
