Did you hear these are not available? No part number anywhere? Well, as the source we went to work and made it happen. You can now purchase the correct copper sealing rings for your OM616 and OM617 injection pump delivery valves.
This hose assembly was used on the fuel delivery systems in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Installed on some R107 450SL and 450SLC, W116 450SE / L and 280SE, and the W123 280E and 280CE. Be sure to check your car before ordering to make certain this hose is installed.
Those old hardened and discolored plastic fuel hoses in your diesel engine compartment probably need to be replaced. When they crack and break you can dump a ton of fuel out on the road before your engine quits and leaves you stranded.
In this 13-minute video instruction Kent will show you how to make your own accumulator tee hose connection either using parts from. our kit ( see below) or parts you purchase yourself. This video is included free with the purchase of our kit.
This kit will give you everything you need to fix the leaking or aged Tee hose between the fuel damper and the fuel accumulator on most 1977 to 1980 fuel delivery systems. Watch the video below to learn why this is needed.
Kent will take you over to his workbench and completely take apart a rusty and old fuel delivery system from a 1980 450SL and put it all back together again with some shiney new paint and parts supplied in his special kit for these cars. This video runs for 24 minutes.
Also will work on (some but not all) 1976 to 1980 280SE, 280SEL, 280SL and 280E. Brand new aftermarket fuel accumulator for the 1976 to 1985 V8 engines. It is mounted near the fuel filter under the back end of the car and hardly ever gets replaced.
It was difficult to find a filter to fit the correct size outlet hose. Install this steel 10-micron filter in your fuel tank outlet hose to protect your fuel pump. Clamps are provided along with a pull to plug the fuel hose temporarily to reduce fuel spills.
PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR SYSTEM BEFORE ORDERING to confirm the type of accumulator you have. ( Watch the last video below for examples )For systems with ONE HOLE ACCUMULATOR only. Some 450SL, 450SLC, 450SE, 450SEL with 4.5 and W116 280SE .
This on-demand instructional video was filmed to go with Kent's new fuel tank sending unit service kit launched in June of 2020. This is not a complete video on the subject of fuel level sending units. For the complete video see related products below.
If your fuel gauge stops working or is not reading accurately, many times it can be repaired by removing it from the fuel tank, taking it apart and giving it a good internal cleaning of the contact points, float shaft, and wires.
In this video, Kent will show you how to safely and cleanly remove the fuel from the tank on your older Benz. You will need to drain the fuel anytime you replace the back end hoses, the tank filter screen, the fuel pump or the fuel filter.
Works on the following: 6 cylinder gas MFI engines 1959 to 1972, 6.3 and diesel engines 200D 220D 240D 300D 300TD 300CD and 300SD through 1985.
This easy-to-install kit could do wonders for your older diesel engine. The lift pump is almost always forgotten when it comes to maintenance on the OM616 and OM617 engines.
Kent has sourced 2 special Viton o-rings for the outer pump housing on these early djetronic Bosch electric fuel pumps. There are two orings that harden with age causing the pump to leak fuel at the outer end of the pump.
This is a perfect fit for the O.E. copper sealing ring. You only need one but we sell these as a set of two so you will have a spare.
This is where this sealing ring is located. On top of the fuel injection lift pump and at the base of the hand primer pump:
This is a "must-have" kit when adjusting release "pop" pressures on older diesel mechanical fuel injectors. It is the internal spring "shim" thickness that determines the exact pressure required for the release of fuel at the tip of the injector.
If you acquire an older Mercedes diesel and want to test those large Bosch injectors with your V3 gasoline bench tester, you will need 4 things to complete the conversion: 3000 PSI gauge, our new capture bottle to hold the larger injectors, injector sealing kit, and Kent’s written manual and vid
We know that many of you own multiple Mercedes, including both gas and diesel models. If you own one of Kent’s fuel injector pressure testers you no doubt will want to test all your applicable mechanical fuel injectors in both types of older engines.
In this short video, Kent will give you an overview on setting up and using Version 3 of his bench mount CIS gasoline injector pressure tester.
This video is specifically for setting up and using Kent's newest version of his diesel fuel injector bench mount tester. It does not contain any information on the actual process of cleaning or rebuilding a fuel injector.
This is for number FOUR cylinder on the four and five-cylinder engines. No leaks. It may need to be straightened slightly for installation.
This is for number THREE cylinder on the four and five-cylinder engines. No leaks. It may need to be straightened slightly for installation.
This is for number TWO cylinder on the four and five-cylinder engines. No leaks. It may need to be straightened slightly for installation.
Fits the following: All 5 cylinder diesel engines from 1975 to 1985. For 300D 300TD 300CD 300SD, PDF instructions included. This is the critical inside wear part of the injector that delivers the fuel spray into the cylinder. These are direct replacement new fuel injector nozzles from Bosch.
This is the best tool to use when installing or removing the Monark hand primer pump. PLEASE NOTE. This is 19mm and will NOT work on the Bosch hand primer pump or other style pumps (most others are 17 mm).
This is a brand new Genuine Mercedes check valve for the fuel injection pump on 4 and 5 cylinder diesels 1977 to 1985. 2 new copper sealing rings are included. This valve is mounted on inside of pump in the fuel line going to the filter.
This 24 minute on demand training video comes with our injector back flush cleaning kit. You can purchase this video separately, but please keep in mind you will not have any of the tools or supplies to complete this procedure yourself.
With these old gas fuel injectors, sometimes you just have to "back flush" the insides to restore them to peak performance. There is no guarantee that back flush cleaning will restore every old gasoline mechanical fuel injector. Some are just plain worn out.
This video is included free with the purchase of our check valve overhaul kit. Please see related products below
This is something many owner's and mechanics miss. That little check valve on the side of the injection pump can cause a lot of starting problems on the older diesels.
When any part of the overboost protection system fails, your turbo diesel engine can lose power or start to smoke too much.
Want to get more power our of your 5 cylinder OM617 turbo diesel? Maybe you will like to reduce the dark smoke coming out the tail pipe during heavy acceleration?
Total Run Time: 8:01
Here is a wrench I should have made 15+ years ago. I can not believe how much time and frustration I would have saved over the years working on all those 100's of Mercedes diesel engines if I would have done it!
The FLOW pressure method can be used to both check and set injection pump timing. Personally, Kent likes to use this method only when checking if the I.P. needs adjustment.
The FLOW or low pressure method of checking and adjusting injection pump timing does not require a separate pressure tank. With this method you use the hand primer pump to pump up pressure in the injection pump to get fuel to flow out of the half round drip tube included in this kit.
If you have had to remove any of the banjo bolts you can see that those sealing rings are getting quite old... when you see scoring in the ring the ring appears to be crushed, they should be replaced to prevent leaks and to prevent air from getting into the fuel lines.
This is a collection of SPECIAL tools Kent has put together to help you grab, twist, and pull on things in and around your Mercedes. He makes each one of these tools right here in his shop.
Kent put together the three most important products you will need to use his pressurized method of setting the critical timing on your diesel engine injection pump. This is often negelected and when corrected can lead to faster starts, better fuel economy and less engine smoke.
This one hour long on demand video is included free with the purchase of Kent's OM61x injection pump timing kit. The method he teaches uses his own kit, his custom built pressure tank, and his special IP snake wrench.
Another wrench designed by Kent Bergsma and born out of frustration. This could be the weirdest wrench anywhere in the world! While shooting a video on adjusting the injection pump timing on an older Mercedes diesel Kent ran into a big problem.
This unique tank not only functions as an emergency fuel tank, but it can also serve to help troubleshoot diesel engine performance problems as well as complete a clean and efficient diesel purge.
33 page digital PDF manual. Applies to all 110 115 116 123 126 201 124 140 diesels from 1961 to 1994. From my many years of working professionally on Mercedes diesels I have learned fuel injectors are the single most neglected maintenance item. I believe there are a number of reasons for this.
The original fuel lines on most late 70s and early 80s Mercedes Diesels were braided line and with age they do rot and develop slow leaks.
I have used a lot of different clamping tools over the years to prevent fluids from leaking out when removing coolant, fuel, or brake fluid hoses. Most work ok. Some are hard to use in tight places. Many do not stop every last drip from coming out of the hose.
We receive a large number of emails from customers complaining about small fuel leaks at the fuel injector housing (coming out the threads between the two halves)and how best to seal them. To fix this high pressure leak requires taking the injector apart and "lapping" the mating surfaces.
New Bosch fuel filter as shown. Before ordering please make certain that this fits your Benz. Not all gas fuel filters are created equal.
If you work around your Mercedes much this is a great tool to have. The quality is exceptional for the price. It will reset to measure in both inches and millimeters. A Must Have for Ajusting Diesel Fuel Injectors 190D 200D 220D 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 300SD
Fits 116, 123 and 126 chassis diesel 1977 to 1985 only. We have been sourcing these copper washers from Mercedes Benz and also including o-rings for a long time with our fuel filter kits, due to the fact that they do not come with the fuel filters.
