Good used working sunroof motor removed from W126 300SD with red clutch adjustment lock nut. There is a very small crack in the red cap, but it should not be a problem if you are careful with it. This motor will also work on 1981 to 1985 W123 but the mounting bracket may be different.
If your modulator is working ok, but leaking transmission fluid, you may only need to replace the inexpensive oring ( o ring ). You do have to be careful when removing the modulator from the transmission. For instructions (available separately) see related products below.

This is a must-have if you attempting a caliper rebuild on one with stuck pistons. If you own one of our injector pressure testers here is a great add-on that will allow you to use the tester to remove stuck pistons from old brake calipers.
You can save a lot of money if you can rebuild your old brake calipers, especially on some older models. If you can just get the pistons out of the housings, most calipers are rebuildable, unless they have been subject to road salt or have sat exposed to the weather for years without use.
Installing new front rotors on older model Mercedes requires that you remove the rotor from the bearing hub and bolt the new rotor back on. Sounds easy right? Sometimes not! The bolts are on very tight and often take a lot of torque to remove. How do you hold the break rotor while doing this?

A 12 volt test light is a very handy tool to have when working on any car but it is particularly important if you have a old diesel. This tool will allow you to quickly determine if there is power getting to your glow plugs, and if not where the power is breaking down.
This is becoming one of the common transmission fluid leaks on these older automatics. If the trans is leaking fluid in small puddles while the car sits for longer periods suspect this seal. You can be fooled thinking it is coming from the pan gasket.

The bowden cable runs from the transmission to the throttle linkage on many Mercedes from the early 1980's up through the early mid 1990's. When this cable fails or is out of adjustment the transmission will either shift too early or too late.
If your serpentine belt is starting to crack or the back side is worn smooth, you need to replace it. If you are hearing strange noises from the front of your 1986 to 1993 six cylinder gas engine, you will need to remove the belt to troubleshoot the problem.
Starting in the U.S. model year 1986, the headlights were changed on the W126 models. You could no longer just unscrew some plastic knobs to get the headlight door (plastic surround) off. This new style plastic door became the cover for the fog light as well.
